Mary H. Cormier

Mary was a member of Our Lady of Good Council Catholic Church. She owned the 5th Floor Deli in the former CM Tower for seven years. She was the Demo Person and Head Baker at Sam’s Club for 24 years.

She is survived by her son, Shane Cormier and wife Janet of Jacksonville, FL; daughter, Pamela Mancuso and husband Mike of Lake Charles, LA; brother, Morris Godeaux and wife Bamma of Tyler, TX; sisters, Georgia St. Amand of Bunkie, LA, Hazel Carriere and husband Bob of Opelousas, LA, Betty Trahan and husband Cleve of Opelousas, LA, and Eura Guidry of Church Point, LA; grandchildren, Nickolas Lynn Mancuso and Rachel Lynn Mancuso both of Lake Charles, LA, and Stephanie Reneé Cormier and Hannah Marie Cormier both of Jacksonville, FL. She is preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, John A. Cormier; her parents Thomas and Amy Carriere Godeaux, a sister, Lee Etta Venable and a brother Johnny Godeaux.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Rev. Alan Trouille will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Highland Memory Gardens. Her visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2013 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will resume Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until service time.
