Mary Mae Leger

She was born at Niblets Farm near Welsh and lived most of her life in Hayes. She was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Mary was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved to cook, read, and play bingo. She spent her later years praying the Rosary every day that she was able.

She is survived by her son, Michael Leger of Hayes; daughters, Darline Huval of Lake Charles and Alice Manuel of Iowa; 10 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 11, 2013 at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles. Father Emanuel Tana will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Hayes Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, November 10, 2013 and will resume at 8:00 a.m. on Monday. There will be a Rosary Sunday evening.
