On Monday, the 15th day of August 2022, Mr. Maximiliano Gonzalez-Alvarado departed this life at the age of 71 in Lake Charles, LA. Max was born on October 3, 1950 to the late Petra Alvardo in San Juan Del Rio, Durango, Mexico.
He was born and raised in San Juan. He decided to come to America at the age of 16 to have a better life.
He loved to keep busy and do home improvements projects around his house. Max absolutely loved his grandkids and to make people laugh. His best part of his week was on Sundays' to make his famous "chocolate chip pancakes" with his family.
Max was a parishioner at St. Henry's Catholic Church in Lake Charles, LA. Max adored his family and would do anything for anyone.
Max is survived by his wife, Francisca Gonzalez; three daughters, Jaclyn Chretien, Erica Corkran, and Melisa Jimenez; six grandkids; one brother; five sisters; and countless other family members.
He is preceded in death by his late wife, Mildred Gonzalez and late granddaughter, Olivia Ann Chretien.
The family will welcome relatives and friends on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles beginning at 8:30 a.m. until the procession leaves for the church at 10:30 a.m. and a rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. at St. Henry's Catholic Church. Burial will be immediately following at Green Oaks Cemetery in Kinder. The Rev. Joseph Caraway will be officiating at the services.
