SULPHUR-Melody Suzanne Cavallaro Rushing, 39, died Tuesday, October 9, 2012, in her home. Melody lived in Sulphur for 6 years, moving from Pineville. She attended the Church of Christ in Westlake. Melody worked at Walmart for 6 years, and previously worked at Pinecrest Services and Support Center. She enjoyed sewing and adored her 4 chihuahuas. Survivors include her husband, Ben Jeffrey Rushing; father, Kenneth Cavallaro of Evergreen; sisters, LeAnn Tellifero and Katrina Bailey; nieces and nephews, Justin and Cheyenne Tellifero and Leah Fuller and Alyda and Ayla Bailey; and great niece Lilly Fuller. She is preceded in death by her mother, Gloria Smith Cavallaro. Her funeral will be at 2 p.m, October 14, 2012, at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles. Burial will be in Lewis Cemetery in Deridder.
