Michelle was born in Landstuhl, Germany to James and Mary Mainer. She was a military brat who always had a different place to reside depending on her father's post. As a young child they eventually settled in Louisiana, making Lake Charles their home. She graduated from Barbe Highschool and pursued a career in the medical field. She worked as a secretary in local doctor's offices. Michelle has two lovely daughters and worked very hard to take care of them as a single mother. She loved Dr. Pepper, circus peanuts, and menthol cigarettes(about as much as she loved a good latte). She was a big movie buff and loved to sing. She had a beautiful singing voice and would perform in church(This talent wasn't really passed on to her daughters). She had a tattoo on her right hip that was supposed to be a tribute to Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead. It didn't quite turn out the way she wanted; She cried. She didn't have it finished because it was"entirely too painful". Michelle learned the important life lesson : Tattoos don't feel like a unicorn is kissing it on.
She leaves behind a legacy of terrible movie choices, questionable songs, an unabashed love of the color pink much to the disappointment of her daughter Ferrin. Her daughter Ashlynn is fine with these life choices (except the songs, those were awful)
She is welcomed into paradise by her loving parents.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters Ferrin Almager of Carlyss,LA. and Ashlynn Lewis and Andreu LaFleur of Carlyss, LA. Her brothers John Mainer of Westlake, LA and Michael Mainer who currently resides in Honduras. Her sisters Pamela Dannelley of North Carolina and Rhonda Majewski of Michigan. Two Grandchildren who called her Mimi, Rhys Almager and Violet Lewis.
