Michelle earned her bachelor’s degree in art and had a deep appreciation for creativity and beauty in all its forms. She loved life on the road, sharing countless miles and memories as a truck driver alongside her beloved husband, Joseph. A lover of nature, Michelle found peace in the outdoors and had a passion for preserving the natural world around her.
Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, and stepmother who cherished her family deeply. Michelle found great joy in spending time with her daughter, especially playing Minecraft together, where laughter and imagination always filled the room.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Joseph Hesse Jr.; daughter, Kayla Hesse; stepsons, Brandon Hesse and wife Josie, Jonathan Hesse, and Michael Hesse and wife Krista; and her four beloved grandchildren, Lily, Will, Wyatt, and Leah.
She is also survived by her mother, Sue Mello; stepfather, Phil Vanasse; mother-in-law, Betty Hesse; and sisters, Cheryl Vanasse Peck and Tina-Marie Hooley.
Michelle will be remembered for her kindness, her adventurous spirit, her love of nature, and the devotion she showed to her family. Her memory will continue to inspire all who knew and loved her.
The family will welcome the public for a memorial visitation at J. E. Hixson & Sons Funeral Home Chapel of Lilies on Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 12pm until time of memorial service at 2pm.
