Mike Savant

He was a gauger in the oilfield for 46 years in Lake Charles. He enjoyed being on the water and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He is survived by his four children, Cheryl Kay Savant and husband David Malone of Lafayette, Jody Wayne Savant and wife, Kristen Ieyoub Savant of Dallas, TX, Angela Diane Savant Myers of Moss Bluff, and Michael Darrin Savant and wife Crystal Leger Savant of Moss Bluff; sister, Helen Hall of Lake Charles; 8 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother Elizabeth Mae Logan Savant.

Serving as his pallbearers will be, Brent Cating, Steve Cating, Brad Derouen, Derrick Ellis, Rex Matte and Bernard Marcantel.

His funeral will be 2pm, Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. The Rev. Keith Cating will officiate. Visitation will begin Tuesday from 4pm-9pm at the funeral home and resume Wednesday 8am until service time. Burial will be in Hebert Cemetery in Hecker, LA.
