Mildred Idelle Harbour

Mildred was born in 1928 in Granada County, Mississippi to the late Willie Newt and Bessie Odain Collins. She was a graduate of Lake Charles High School and Sowela College. She worked for BellSouth as a Chief Operator for over sixteen years. Mildred then went on to work for Continental Trailways and Clarke Insurance for many years.

Mildred was an avid gardener and always had pretty flowers in her yard with something blooming year round. She also loved to read, often reading a book a day, and to play bingo and slots. She faithfully sent birthday and Christmas cards to all of her family and friends. Her family was so very important to her and she loved nothing more than to have them visit. Mildred was a true matriarch to her family; with four generations to carry on her loving legacy.

Mildred was predeceased by her husband; Rodney Harbour, son; Shane LeBleu, great granddaughter; Kaitlynn LeBleu, parents; Willie Collins, Odain and William Grady Streets, brothers; Eugene Collins and Wayne Streets, former husbands; Albert LeBleu, Sr. and Billy Williams.

Left to cherish her memory include her three sons; Albert LeBleu Jr. and wife Jackie of Lake Charles, Jesse R. LeBleu and wife JoAnn of Kinder, LA, and Michael G. LeBleu and wife Pam of Sulphur, LA., four daughters; Phyllis Pesantes and husband Gus of Lake Charles, Cynthia Victory and husband Bob of Ragley, LA., Ramona Coco and husband Robert of Lake Charles, and Angela Jackson and husband Michael of Lake Charles, LA.; sister, Joyce Clarke and husband Tom of Lake Charles, sister in law; Janet Collins of Houston, 25 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, and many extended members of the family. Mildred will be deeply missed and forever loved by all who knew her.

Visitation to be held Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 12:30-2:00 pm at Hixson Funeral Home, Lake Charles. Funeral Service to be held at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Lake Charles at 3:30 pm.
