Millard Sherwood Golemon was born August 16, 1941 and passed from his earthly home to his Heavenly residence October 24, 2023 at the age of 82.

Sherwood was born in Wichita Falls, Texas, but came to live in Lake Charles with his family at a very young age. He was a master electrician by trade and opened Venture Sports, a scuba diving shop, with Betty around 1976. They traveled the world together on dive adventures with friends and family.

Other than being an avid traveling diver he loved reading, watching Fox News, playing solitaire, and telling old stories to everyone.

He was preceded in death by the love of his life for 51 years Betty; his precious baby boy Jeffrey Golemon; his parents Millard and Myrtle Golemon; and his sister Carolyn Angelo.

He is survived by his two children and their families: Marla Celona Golemon Chatagnier (Bert) and their two children Jeffrey and Hayley Chatagnier; Matthew Sherwood Golemon (Holly) and their son Parker Golemon. Sherwood has one surviving sibling Barbara Golemon Hebert (Olin) and numerous nieces and nephews and lifelong friends/fellow divers like Michael Harrington and many more.

The family will welcome the public for visitation Sunday, October 29, 2023 from 10am until time of memorial services at 1pm.
