Morris "Maxie" LaBiche, Jr., 60, of Gillis, passed away on Friday, September 7, 2018 at his residence to be with his Lord and Savior. He loved his grandchildren and family very much. He worked as a roofer most of his life, along with working for A-1 Lawn Services in Landscaping. He raised chickens, loved gardening, BBQ and cooking, and fishing. In his early years, he loved running and enjoyed boxing.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Borel Guidry; daughter, Cindy Mire and husband JB of Houston, TX; sisters, Vickie LaBiche Benoit, Cheryl LaBiche Kershaw and husband Terry of Lake Charles, Jeanne LaBiche Boudreaux; half sister, Anna LaBiche; step brothers and sisters, Robert Guidry, Jr. and wife Shelley of Baton Rouge, Glenda Goodwin and husband Johnny of DeQuincy, Susan Holton and husband Greg of Bridge City, TX, Chad Morgan and wife Grizelle of Cerritos, California; along with many nieces and nephews.
Maxie is preceded in death by his father, Morris "Maxie" LaBiche, Sr.; brothers, Kirk LaBiche and Guy LaBiche.
Services will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 10:00am with Rev. Tim Nicholas officiating. Visitation will be at Hixson Funeral Home on Sunday, September 9, 2018 from 5:00-8:00pm and will resume on Monday from 8:00am until the time of the service.
