Naomi Ruth Plotts Kingham, age 84, peacefully passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022. Naomi was born on July 8, 1937 to Rev. Morris & Neva Plotts. She lived in Iowa and California before settling in Lake Charles, Louisiana as a teenager. She married Mark W. Kingham of Lake Charles on November 16, 1953 where they built and raised their family.
Naomi was a brilliant light to all who knew her, and she never met a stranger. She was a devoted wife of 69 years and worked various jobs throughout her life. Naomi loved to volunteer for her church and was always looking for ways to help others. Her love for Jesus radiated from her and spilled out on to everyone. Even at the very end of her life, she was telling others of the goodness of God and the joy of following Jesus all her days.
Naomi loved to play practical jokes and make people laugh. She loved being with her family and was the centerpiece at every family birthday and holiday celebration for decades. In her retirement years, she volunteered at Bargain World Thrift Store and could literally sell you anything she touched. She devoted her last years to caring for her husband, Mark, and enjoying their time together.
Those left to cherish memories of Naomi include her adoring husband, Mark W. Kingham and their three children, Pamela Kingham George (Paul), Bobby Kingham (Stephanie), and Sean Kingham (Regina) along with four of her siblings, Virginia Holt (Charles), Shirley Kingham, Anna Thompson, and Philip Plotts (Penny).
She also leaves a legacy of:
15 grandchildren: David George (Kim), Debbie Roberts (Al), Sheree George, Stephanie Fletcher (Chad), Jason Seal (Karen), Jamie Seal, Rex Kingham, Lacey Doxey (Aaron), Cody Kingham (Kathryn), Maggie Pankurst (Justin), Sarah Baggett (Andrew), Savanah Roberts (Scott), Morghan Dimas, Kyler Dimas, and Tate Dimas
20 great grandchildren: Bryce George (Haley), Lance George, Devin VanMaanen (Rachel), Mackenzie Himmelman (Tyler), Cassidy Roberts (Megan), Jacob Fletcher (KaiLee), Nathan Fletcher, Tyler Fletcher, Garrett Fletcher, Natalie Fletcher, Kayley Seal, Jack Seal, Levi Seal, Amelia Seal, Brayden Seal, Leigha Doxey, Judah Doxey, Cameron Pankhurst, Rayna Kingham, Neva Kingham and Bailey Pugh
3 great-great-grandchildren: Aubrey VanMaanen, Hazel VanMaanen, and Ottilly Himmelman
Heaven rejoiced in welcoming her, and she has reunited with her parents Rev. Morris and Neva Plotts, parents-in-law James and Alvis Kingham, two baby brothers, her sister Marilyn and brother in law Glenn Ford, great granddaughter Naomi Doxey and several other "little ones" she has longed to meet.
