Naretta W. Ewing

Naretta Damron Ewing went to be with the Lord on February 7, 2017. She was a member of the Lake Charles community for 60 years. She attended first Christian Church where she taught Sunday school and prepared the communion for the congregation for many years.

Naretta is survived by her two sons, Terry K. Ewing and Fiancé, Pat Burns of Sulphur LA and Mark A. Ewing of Lake Charles LA; sister, Helen Burrowes of Speedway IN; sister in law, Wilma Damron; brothers in law, Chuck Norrow, of MI, Allen Trahan of Westlake LA and James Sladek of Fort Worth TX; grandchildren, Rachael, Christy, Devin, Brandy, Mark Jr, Tyler and Keith Ewing; 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Beverly “Bud” Ewing; parents, Jim and Alice Damron; sister, Joyce Norrow; two brothers, Harry Damron and Eddie Damron.

Funeral service will be at 11am on Friday, February 10, 2017 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Visitation will be Thursday, February 9, 2017 from 4-8pm and will resume the following day at 10am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Prien Memorial Park.
