

Nita was a native and lifelong resident of Creole, Louisiana. She was a devoted Catholic all of her life and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of Americas. Nita enjoyed visiting with family and friends on the weekends.
Survivors include two daughters, Genelle Crochet and husband Leland of Grand Chenier, LA and Roberta Richard and husband, Eldred of Iowa, LA; 7 grandchildren, Valmond Crochet and wife, Janice, Kent Crochet and wife, Arlene, Debbie Duhon and husband, Albert, Charlotte Crochet, Travis Richard and wife, Jill, Walt Richard and wife, Cathy and Gaylin Vaughan and husband, A.J.; 17 great grandchildren and 20 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elie Conner; her parents, Joseph Boudreaux and Cleonise Theriot Boudreaux; one son, John Winston Conner; three brothers, Mayo Boudreaux, Charles Boudreaux and Ferdinard Boudreaux; four sisters, Bea Theriot, Nola Richard, Edith Boudoin and Mea Richard.
Her funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 7, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Creole. Father Tim Godley will officiate. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Creole under the direction of Hixson Funeral home of Lake Charles. Visitation is Friday from 2p.m. to 10p.m. and Saturday from 8a.m. until procession time. A scripture reading will be Friday at 6p.m. with a rosary to follow. The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to Grand Cove Nursing Facility, Landmark and Brighton Bridge Hospice and staff's. In lieu of flowers, Mass donations are appreciated.
