Randall "Randy" James Sonnier, age 76, of Lake Charles, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025. He was born on October 4, 1948 in Lake Charles to Elery Sonnier and Yvonne Fruge Sonnier.

Randy was lifelong resident of Lake Charles where he graduated from LaGrange High School and then attended McNeese where he graduated with an Associates in electrical engineering. He was a proud United States Navy Veteran during the Vietnam Era. Randy enjoyed hunting, fishing, and most importantly spending time with his family.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 53 years, Connie Sonnier; two daughters, Aimee Sonnier and Belinda Sonnier; three grandchildren, Kimberly Riggins, Gabryel Sonnier and Karl A. Griffith; three great grandchildren; brother, Larry Sonnier; and four sisters, Linda Lebert (Ray), Wanda Beaird (John), Janet Fruge and Teresa Hermann (Freddie).

He is preceded in death by his parents.

The family will welcome relatives and friends at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles on Thursday, March 6, 2025 beginning at 11:00 a.m. with a Celebration of Life to begin at 1:00 p.m. Msgr. Harry Greig will officiate at the services.
