Richard "Gordon" Miller Sr.
June 27, 1928 – April 9, 2021
Richard "Gordon" Miller Sr., age 92, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, a gentle kind man of God, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, April 9, 2021.
Gordon was born on June 27, 1928 to his parents Clophas and Odeal Demarie Miller in Grand Lake, Louisiana. He enjoyed watching any sport but he cheered for the Dallas Cowboys the most and he loved to work with his hands. Gordon was the regional director for Campers for Christ and he and wife traveled to all 49 states in the country except Hawaii. After 54 years, Gordon retired with Citgo.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Kathy Lyn Clark and husband W.T.; two sons, Richard G. Miller, Jr. and Patrick C. Miller; five grandchildren, Kris Clark, Walker Miller, Jeff Miller, Adrienne Hebert, and Bradley Miller; five great grandchildren, Kristian Clark, Kopelyn A Clark, Dixon Clark, Jacques Hebert, and Collette Hebert; a brother, Lyn Miller; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 53 years Francis Marie Nunez; his second loving wife of 10 years, Francis Lee Fugatt; his first daughter, Vickie Jean Dupuis; and a brother, Stanley Miller.
Visitation services will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles on Monday, April 12, 2021 beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. A Celebration of Life will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be immediately following at Prien Memorial Park.
In Lieu of Flowers the family asked that all donation be made to Amedisys Hospice.
