Ricky Joseph LeBlanc

Ricky was born July 30, 1954 and lived in Welsh all of his life. He was an employee of Thornwell Warehouse Association with 24 ½ years of dedication to his job. He also worked for P & S Rice Mill in Lacassine. Ricky served as a reserve officer for 5 years as well as the Jeff Davis Mosquito Abatement for 4 years. He was a Police Juror for District #13 for one term. He was a hard worker and a wonderful friend to those who knew him. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years as well as attending the football games with his brother and friends and rooting for his home team. Ricky will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Left to cherish his memory, his wife, Veronica “Lynn” LeDoux LeBlanc of Welsh; his four girls or “my girls” as he liked to call them, Suzanne LeBlanc Hogan and spouse Alicia Anthony of Lake Charles, Traci LeBlanc Lewis and spouse Justin of Iowa, Robyn LeBlanc and fiance’ Philip Druilhet of Baton Rouge and Renee’ LeBlanc Hussain and spouse Raja of Lake Charles; his brother, Randy Lee LeBlanc and spouse Rachelle of Jennings; his grandchildren, Favian and Taegin McClelland, Gavin and Emily Lewis, Grayson Gremillion, Rylan Druilhet, Zoe Hogan, Izabella Jones and Safiyyah Hussain; and one nephew, Collis LeBlanc.

He is preceded in death by his precious parents, Alva Joseph and Eva “Dale” Derouen LeBlanc; his grandparents, Elevia and Eve Ogea Derouen, Albert and Louise LeBlanc, all of whom welcomed him home.

On behalf of the family they would like to thank the medical staff of the Methodist Hospital of Houston, the CVICU team at the hospital as well as Thornwell Warehouse Association and all those who have reached out to the family.

Visitation will be held, Tuesday, February 16, 2015 from 4pm to 9pm at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles, with a rosary at 6pm. Visitation will resume Wednesday from 9am until time of service. Services will begin at 2pm on February 17, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Loraine-Derouen Cemetery in Hayes, LA.
