Rita Leger Breaux Flood, 83, passed away February 4, 2013 in her residence. She was a born in Rayne. She was a homemaker and loved sewing, quilting, crocheting, cooking and fishing. She loved her movies and popcorn. She also enjoyed different types of music. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She served the Cub Scout organization as a Den Mother and was a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church and VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 2130. She is survived by her sons, Richard Breaux of Lake Charles and Jerry Breaux and wife, Mary of Ozark, MO; daughters, Rena Gail LeJeune and husband, Arthur of Westlake , Jackie Goodeaux and husband, Kevin of Ragley and Jennifer Montgomery and husband, Victor of Lake Charles; sisters, Olite Arceneaux of Lafayette, Evelyn Johnson, Betty Jo Gaspard, Rosemary Leger all of Lake Charles; 13 grandchildren,20 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Eva Dell Gaspard and her brother, L.J. Leger. Her funeral will be 1:00pm, Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Her son, Bro. Jerry Breaux and Rev. Rod Vincent will officiate. Visitation will begin Wednesday 2:00pm-9:00pm with a rosary at 6:00pm and resume Thursday 8:00am until service time.
