Ronnie D. "Ron" Wood

He was a member of the Single Action Shooting Society and the Up the Creek Gang. Mr. Wood was also known as Round Rock Ron. He was a gunsmith and a gun collector. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of 10 years.

He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Sue Wood of Lake Charles; son, Christopher Wood of Hills, IL; daughters, Connie Marie Wood of Brunswick, GA, Catherine Ann Wood of Brunswick, GA; step daughters, Rachel Anne Krogstie of Nashville, TN, Tammy Marie Jeannice of Lake Charles; brother, Bill Wood of Enid, OK; sister, JoAnn Deligdio of Colorado City, TX and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Odis and Pauline Wood and his sister, Helen Wood.

There will be a Memorial Service held in his honor at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at East Ridge Baptist Church. Rev. Alan Weishampel will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Toys for Tots or the East Ridge Church Building Fund.
