She is survived by her sons, Brad Lewis (Renee) and Scott Lewis (Kathy); daughter, Kim Fontenot; grandchildren, Billy Fontenot (Ashley), Tory Lewis (Gabrielle) and Bradley Lamar (Kristine); great grandchildren, Emme Fontenot, Grayson Lamar, Cooper Lamar, and Everly Lamar.
Sandra is also survived by her family of choice who she loved as her own, Barry Daigle, Danny Daigle, Mary Bouquet, Sissy Vaughn, Bill Phillips, and Theresa Phillips; and her beloved caregiver and friend, Charmaine Kibodeaux.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Philip M. Lewis.
If anyone knew Sandra, you knew she was the life of the party. She lived life to her fullest. She enjoyed dancing (with Philip or anyone willing to help her cut a rug), drinking wine, and having a good time. She believed a lady would always look her best, and that went along with herself, her home, and even her car.
Her true passion was her family and friends. She loved everyone, especially her husband, Philip, who she shared 57 years of marriage with until his passing in 2020. She adored her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family, and even her “chosen” family. She showed that love by cooking and don’t be surprised if she showed up at your door with a casserole dish or a plate of cookies.
Even though we lost our mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, we have comfort in knowing she is dancing with her beloved Philip in Heaven.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles on Thursday, September 11, 2025 from 10:00 AM until time of services at 12:00 PM.
