He is preceded in death by his parents, Euzeb and Helen LeBlanc, his brothers, Phillip LaSalle, Nelson LeBlanc and George Bartie, and his sister, Evelina Jones.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lynn LeBlanc of 62 years; his sisters, Jeanette LeBlanc-Bell of Peachtree City, Georgia, and Carol LeBlanc of Jennings, Louisiana, his four children; Alaric LeBlanc, Sr. (Taivonne) of Van Buren, Arkansas, Dedria Anderson (Kevin) of Port Arthur, Texas, Vonda Nickson (Kevin) of Conway, Arkansas, and Orenthal LeBlanc (Veronica) of Kinder, Louisiana, 13 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
Shelton was known for his unwavering love of sports, particularly his passion for LSU and the Dallas Cowboys. He spent countless hours fishing, a pastime that brought him great joy and peace. Above all, Shelton cherished his family, and his devotion to them was evident in everything he did. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
The family will welcome the public for visitation at J. E. Hixson & Sons Funeral Home on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 9am until 11am, with a Funeral services beginning at 11am.
A reception will be held at J. E. Hixson & Sons Funeral Home immediately after chapel funeral services.
A funeral procession will begin at 2pm, Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery located in Cameron, Louisiana.
Services will be officiated by Pastor Aaron L. Nickson of Zion Mission Baptist Church in Alma, Arkansas, with assistance from Pastor Benny Druilhet Sr. of the Triune Church of God in Christ in Franklin, Louisiana.
