

She was born on July 25, 1931, in Blackford, Indiana.
She lived a long and fulfilling life. She cherished her family deeply, finding immense joy in the company of her sons, her two grandchildren, and her great-grandson.
She had a zest for life and enjoyed many passions. She found excitement at the casino, where she loved to try her luck on the slot machines. Travel was another of her great loves, and she cherished the memories she made exploring new places.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Monroe Sr. and Ruth Vernon; her spouse, Merrill Utley; former spouse, Joseph Mayeux; and her son, Phillip Mayeux.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Joel Mayeux, and his wife, Tanya; her grandchildren, Holly Mayeux and her spouse, Ben, and Ashley Dickerson and her husband, Alex; and her beloved great-grandson, Harrison Dickerson. She is also remembered by her caregiver, Carli Ellis.
