In 1926, she was born in Little Creek, LA to parents Ravenna Clinton and Emma Frank. Sue lived in Lake Charles, LA for most of her life where she worked as a secretary. An active member of the East Ridge Baptist Church, Sue once sang and traveled with the Agin’ Cajun Choir through the First Baptist Church in Sulphur, LA. She enjoyed oil paintings, decorating, and loved people. Sue was known as a loving, enthusiastic, artful inspiration who encouraged all around her.
Sue is survived by her daughter, Sondra “Sandi” Marcantel and her husband Roy of Sulphur, LA; sister Carolyn Thompson of Alexandria, LA; and grandchildren Jonathan Roy Marcantel, Ryan Keith Marcantel and wife Kristen Michelle, and Kristen Nicole Marcantel.
She is preceded in death by her husband Earl Guillory of Lake Charles, LA; sisters Juanita Doughty, Clarice Masters, and Louise Clinton; and brothers Sherrill Clinton, James Clinton, Hugh Clinton, and R.M. Clinton.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles, LA. A private service will be held at a later date.
