Teresa Ryan

She lived most of her life in Lake Charles LA. She participated in many community activities throughout her lifetime. She served as a member of the Waterworks District #8 Board and was the president for 18 years. Additionally, she was a member of the Fire Board and served as a commissioner for various elections. She was member of St. Theodore Catholic Church, where she served as Eucharistic minister.

She is survived by son, Val Ryan and wife, Joy of Henderson, TX; sister, Shirley Bebee and husband, Marvin of Iowa, LA; granddaughters, Lynette Ryan of Rogers, AR, Laura Payne and husband, Kevin of Henderson, TX; granddaughter-in-law, Tammi Jordan of Henderson, TX; great grandchildren, Tristen Ryan, Hannah Sellers, Dillon Fowlkes, Nathan Conley, Mason Payne and Colton Payne all of Henderson, TX, as well as special nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by Jim Ryan, her husband of 63 years; parents, Jake and Eva Hebert and a grandson, Scott Ryan.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, January 30, 2011 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Msgr. Charles Dubios will officiate. Burial will be in Hebert Cemetery in Iowa, LA. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. til the start of service.
