My beloved friend and brother, 

I know you are in paradise where you are smiling. I will miss you so much, and I will miss our monthly phone calls all the way from Hawaii.

My Family and I are so sorry for your loss. We wish to extend our sincerest condolences to the Family and the many many Friends of Mr. Terry Newman. We will keep you ALL in our daily thoughts and prayers. May GOD bless ALL. And may Mr. Terry Newman REST IN PEACE. 

Terry and I went to LCHS together. He was always so kind and a good friend. We had plenty of laughs together. I will miss him. Please know that all of you are in my heart and prayers.

Dear Curtis and Joyce,  I am so sorry to hear about Terry,  The past year has been rough on both of you, with the lost of Clifford, Raleigh and now Terry.  Memories, Terry and Steve playing basketball over at Bobby Lyons's house, before Terry losing his leg. He had wanted to try out and play for Lake Charles High School.  My memories include, your Dad, raising those pigs in a pen hidden in the tall weeds east of your house.  Playing booray with your mom and her purse full of pennies. Playing Hearts or dominoes with Curtis.  Lot of years and memories.   Was thinking a few weeks ago and wondering if we will ever return to life before the virus, as I remembered the days when we were able to gather and not worry if someone would get sick, because of the gathering.    

I'm so sorry to hear about Terry. He's been a member of the OLQH Life Center for years and always so friendly to staff and fellow members. I'd enjoy speaking to him about the tavern and Mardi Gras. Terry, Ms. Joyce, and the Newman family are in my prayers. 

Terry was my first cousin and more importantly, I always considered him a good friend.  We spent quite a bit of time playing together as children, along with my brother, Joey, who was the same age as Terry.  
On the rare occasions we ran into each other in our adult lives (my military career took me away from Lake Charles),  Terry was always so joyful, fun, and passionate about life, and I was always met with jovial, loving hugs.  I always enjoyed seeing him and always walked away with a special feeling.
My wife, Robin and I send our sincere condolences to the family and please know Terry  was very much loved  and will be greatly missed by all who knew him!  

Terry you will be greatly missed by us all!

Great guy. Always kind to me and my wife. Gonna miss his singing at the Old Town Tavern.
