Tracy Renee (Green) Turner

Tracy was born to parents Thomas and Marlene Green on October 26, 1963, in Lake Charles, LA. She attended and graduated from LaGrange High School and attended McNeese State University. She met her husband, Charles, through a mutual friend in 1998 and married in 2011.

Tracy loved music, dancing, and cooking. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She was known to be a feisty individual but had the biggest heart. However, Tracy had a pretty strict rule about waking her up before 11 am, because she was a night owl, and loved LOVED her midnight snacks. She would put others before herself and go above and beyond for others. She was an amazing grandmother and helped raise all of her grandchildren. Even as good of a grandmother as she was, she was an even better mom.

She is welcomed into Heaven by her parents; brother, Thomas M. Green Jr.; father-in-law, Charles A. Turner Sr. and mother-in-law, Delores Turner.

Tracy's memory will be fondly cherished by her soulmate, Charles Turner; sister, Pam Green Marcantel(David); daughter, Meagan Bieroth; son, Jason Varela; granddaughters, Angel Johnson, Nevaeh Varela and Camilla Dybvig; grandson, Andre Peters and Nathan Gerra; niece, Courtney Marcantel Bush(Ethan); nephew, J. Tanner Marcantel(Chris); her closest cousin, Laurie Beaugh Hebert; and a host of other loved family members.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Nurse Kennedy in ICU at St. Pats, as well as all of her caregivers while in the hospital.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations made in Tracy's name to St. Jude's Hospital.

The family would like to invite family and friends to Hixson Funeral Home Chapel of Peace at 3001 Ryan St. Lake Charles, LA, 70607, on November 1st, 2024 at 10:00 am, with a Celebration of Life Service beginning at 11:00 a.m. led by Hixson Celebrant Jody Tyler. Visitation will continue after the services until 1:00 pm.

A reception will be held following services at 7220 Bosclair Dr. Lake Charles, LA 70601.
