Valery "Ruby" Jordan

Ruby was born January 21, 1945 and was a resident of Ragley. She was of Catholic faith. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She also enjoyed camping and gardening, but her true passion in life was for her husband and her family.

Ruby is survived by her husband of thirty years, Jim Jordan; children, Corrina Hoffpauir and husband David, Robert Guidry, Melissa Lucius and husband John, Steven Guidry and Shannon Jordan; siblings, Carolyn Bettis (Walter), Nadine Douget (Ronald), Sherry Theriot, Laura Stanfield (Curtis), Lawrence Mallett, Billy Mallett (Carla), Ray Mallett (Stephney), and Debbie Lejeune (Philip); best friend, Erica Roach; eighteen grandchildren; and twenty great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by son, Brandon Jordan; parents, Lawrence and Lora Mallett; brother, Nolan Mallett; sister, Barbara Mallett; and granddaughter, Brandy Scott.

Visitation will be at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles on Sunday, October 2, 2016 from 4pm to 9pm with a Rosary at 6:30pm and will continue on Monday from 8am until the time of the service. Her funeral service will be held at 10:30am on Monday at the funeral home. Father Andrew will officiate. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Ragley.
