

She was a native of Greenwood, Louisiana and a resident of Lake Charles for seventy six years. Virginia was a member of the Dwelling Place. She was also a member of the Eastern Star, Optimrs (friend of the youth) and the Buccaneers. She loved life, laughing, people and Jesus. She enjoyed doing water aerobics, visiting family and friends. Virginia was active in the family business and loved her grandchildren.
Survivors include one son, David Woodson of Lake Charles; two daughters, Jane Taylor and husband Mike of Lake Charles and Jean Pasvar and husband Hossein of Carrollton, TX; one brother, Jim Hammack and wife Audrey of Lake Charles; one sister, Pat Hines and husband L.J. of Hot Springs, AK; sister-in-law, Anita Hammack of Fort Smith, AK; eight grandchildren, Kyle Taylor, Christopher Taylor, Erica Pasvar, Michael Pasvar, Erin Taylor, LCPL. Philip Woodson, Mat Woodson and Regan Woodson; and one great grandchild, Isabel Pasvar. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Woodson; parents, Thomas and Ruby Hammack; and one brother, Thomas Hammack.
Her funeral will be at 2p.m. Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Reverend David Roth and Reverend Erin Taylor will officiate. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Friday from 5p.m. to 8p.m. and will resume Saturday at 12:30p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
