

On Tuesday, February 4, 2014, Wanetta Drury Lofaso, 91, entered eternal peace with family at her side.
Funeral Services will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles on Friday, February 7th at 11:30AM. Brother Ronnie Estes will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 PM to 9 PM on Thursday, February 6th and from 9 AM until the service on Friday. Burial will be at Consolota Cemetery.
Wanetta was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Anthony Lofaso; son Harvey Ray Lofaso; parents Harvey Earl Drury and Elizabeth Baxter Drury; step -father, John Drury; sisters Margaret Drury Nettleton and Marcella Drury Erwin of Indiana, and Mildred Drury Sexton of Buffalo, Iowa; brothers Orville Lawrence Drury and James Earl Drury of Indiana.
Survivors include granddaughters Michelle Lofaso Baca and Kimberly Lofaso Brewer (Bill) of Moss Bluff; daughter-in-law Dorothy (Lofaso) Deaton of Lake Charles; great-grandchildren Kyle Baca (Jacqueline), Courtney Baca, and Kayla Brewer of Moss Bluff; sisters Mariedrith Drury Morton of Winslow, Indiana, and Mary Drury Porter of Henderson, Kentucky; brother John C. Drury (Andrea) of Henderson, Kentucky; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Wanetta was a member of Boulevard Baptist Church for over sixty years, active in Church, Sunday school, and as a GA Counselor. She was interested in Genealogy. During World War II, Wanetta worked in Evansville, Indiana as a riveter and then a welder, supporting the war effort by helping build aircraft. She then worked for the Federal Government at the Strategic Air Command Chennault Air Force Base and later at Lockheed and Dynalectron Co. at Chennault.
