

Born in Mamou, LA., She lived in Lake Charles, LA. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Cathedral, she worked as a caregiver and sitter, she enjoyed sewing, and she served as a Euchanistic Minister and member of the Catholic Daughters.
Survivors include her husband, Harold Havnenar of Lake Charles, three daughters, Connie Smith of Conroe, TX, Janice McKelvy of Sulphur, and step-daughter Kim Gowdey of Rye, TX. four sons, Mike Melanson of Moss Bluff, step-son Sam Havenar of Lake Charles, step-son John Havenar of Baytown, TX., step-son Robert Havenar of Baytown, TX., step-daughter Vickie Havenar of Baytown, TX.; sister, Nancy Kennedy; brothers, Gerald Duplechin, Dillard Duplechin; 10 grandchildren, 18 step-grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and 5 step-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Luke Duplechin and Alix Landreneau; her step-son Richard Havenar; brother, Roger Duplechin; sisters, Grady Dugas and Verona Duplechin.
Her funeral will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 p.m. til 9 p.m. Wednesday with Rosary at 6pm and visitation will continue from 9am Thursday until service time.
