

He was a native of Iowa and a lifelong resident of Lake Charles. Bill was a US Army Veteran. He was a member of Our Lady of Good Council Catholic Church. Bill retired in 1994 from Conoco as a welder supervisor after over 42 years of service. He was a Webelos Scout Leader and coached Dixie Youth baseball. Bill enjoyed gardening in his spare time. He was a longtime member of the American Welding Society.
Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Juanita Gaspard Ardoin of Lake Charles; sons, Greg Ardoin and wife, Mary of Houston and Bryan Ardoin and wife, Sherri of Lake Charles; daughter, Cindy Ortego and husband, Kenton of Lake Charles; and four grandchildren, Jordan, Cody and Breanne Ardoin and Daniel Ortego. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and William Ardoin, Sr.; and his brother, Robert "Bobby" Ardoin.
A visitation will be held Tuesday from 5p.m. to 9p.m. with a Rosary at 7p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Visitation will resume Wednesday from 9a.m. until service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 11a.m. at Our Lady of Good Council Catholic Church. Father Nathan Long will officiate. Entombment will be at Consolata Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jordan Ardoin, Cody Ardoin, Daniel Ortego, Charlie LeBlanc, Trevor LeBlanc and Dustin LeBlanc. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
