Winnie Yvonne Broussard

Yvonne was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a very strong woman, faithful child of God, prayer warrior, her home was always open to everyone, she wanted everyone to feel accepted and loved, and she raised her family in the love of the Lord. Yvonne was a lifelong member of Glad Tidings Church and will be missed greatly by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie J Broussard I, son, Blane Broussard and his wife, Katherine, grandson, William Chase Broussard, parents, John and Rose Reese, brothers, Gene Douglas Reese and John Dalton Reese, and a sister, Willie Ray Davis.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Melinda Broussard; sons, Jessie Broussard II (Bettina), Johnny Broussard (Cynthia), and Doug Broussard (Josette); daughter, Rhonda Mareno; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at J.E. Hixson Funeral Home. Followed by her funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday in the Chapel of Peace. Rev. Gary Eavers will officiate. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
