Aundrea Marie Mazurek, 22, of Woodland passed suddenly on Monday, January 4, 2021. Aundrea was born on February 14, 1998 in Hastings, MI to Loren and Lisa (Grashuis) Mazurek. She was a 2016 graduate of Lakewood High School, Lansing Community College and was attending Baker College for Veterinarian Tech certification. Though are hearts are broken and we are at a loss of words in losing you, you will forever be with us. We were blessed with Aundrea’s arrival on Valentine’s Day, and from that point on talked more about her birthday during the holiday season than anything else. Aundrea was a person who was full of life, energy, and a bright light in many lives. There was never a dull moment in the Mazurek household, who could blame her, she was a mini me of her mother that equaled in personality and spirit! Aundrea had a love for the Lord and was active with “The Living Stones”, during high school, through Lakewood United Methodist Church. She experienced opportunities of witnessing God’s love and creating life-long friendships within this group. Aundrea was preparing to complete her last semester at Baker College and conquer the veterinarian world as a Vet Technician. Aundrea loved animals, especially our two Springers, Skeeter Moe and Shelby. Her interest in furthering her career decision was leaning towards large animals, especially Holsteins. Aundrea made the decision to be a Gift of Life to others. We have ensured that her wishes are being fulfilled. We are feeling blessed knowing that there is a piece of her being cared for by someone else. As parents, we are finding peace in knowing she is in the loving arms of God. Aundrea, you will never be forgotten and we will join you in heaven soon. She will be dearly missed by her parents Loren and Lisa, brother Harrison, grandparents Henry and Rika Ritsema, Jeralee Mazurek, Aunt Chris (Al) Hamilton, Aunt Cindy (Alex) Azanov, Aunt Janet (Jim) Heldt, Uncle Lynn Mazurek, cousins, Jennifer, Nicole, Michael, Nickolas, AJ, Ellie, Naomi, Abigayle, and Samuel along with many extended family and dear friends. Aundrea was preceded in death by Grandfather Leo Mazurek. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 11, 2021 from 2pm until 4pm and 6pm until 8pm at Lakewood United Methodist church, Lake Odessa, Michigan. A celebration of Aundrea life will begin at 11am on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Lakewood United Methodist church, Lake Odessa, Michigan with burial immediately following at Woodland Memorial Park. Memorials in Aundrea’s name can be given to GF412 or LUMC Youth Group or Barry or Ionia County Animal Shelters.

Sweetest Aundrea, I have so many great memories to share of you. All of them include your contagious smile and laughter. I could never be in a bad mood after hearing your voice because you were always happy and bright! I will forever miss the way you would startle me, coming up behind me at church. I’ll miss you always being up for mischief, I knew if I ever had a silly idea, that you would be right on board with me! You had the kindest heart. I remember one of my first years being a kid’s camp counselor, you were my teen counselor. I was pretty stressed being the “main adult in charge”, and you helped me so much that week, always saying “don’t worry, I got it”. Aundrea, I am so heartbroken to not be able to spend any more time with you, but so so thankful for the time that I had. I love you, girl!

We were privileged to meet Aundrea when she was our pet and house sitter. She had such a sweet and loving spirit. Our dog Snickers, doesn’t take to strangers but he took to her immediately the first time they met. We went on vacation without any concerns knowing that all our pets were in loving hands. She was a natural with animals . She will be greatly missed. .

I went to school and was also in "stones" with Aundrea and I'm so very sad to hear about her passing. She was always very happy and loved everything.
