Barbara Jean Heise

Barbara Jean Heise, age 86, of Woodland, Michigan passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025. Barb was born on December 4, 1938 in Mulliken, MI to Douglas and Wilma (Fuller) DeCamp. On October 19th, 1962 she married Arlen Richard Heise, and for 62 years they farmed and raised a family together. She was an avid bowler for many years while her health allowed. In retirement Barb and Arlen travelled and were able to see all of the lower 48 states.

Barb will forever be cherished by her; husband Arlen, daughter Becky Algeo, grandchildren Tori (Anthony) Hawk, Lexi (Anthony White) Heise, Kevin (Olivia Morrow) Algeo, great-grandchildren Chloe (Nugget), Devon and Landyn, brother Doug (Margaret) DeCamp, sister-in-laws Lois DeCamp and Joyce Heise, along with many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Barb in death are her parents, son Dennis Carl Heise, brothers Fred and Bob DeCamp, in-laws Carl Heise and Mildred Heise, sisters in law Dorothy (Al) Randall and Leona (Roland Allaben and Richard Rasmussen) Rasmussen and brother in law Charles Heise.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Woodland Fire Department and First Responders for the excellent care and help they have given over the years.

According to her wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at the Woodland United Methodist Church will be held On May 17th, 2025 at 11am with luncheon held afterward.
