

David Charles Miller of Lake Odessa has found his way home after 90 years of a life filled with hard work and many adventures. Living 70 years on the same farm with his wife of 66 years Janice. He worked as a master carpenter and his handy work is spread throughout the area. He was an accomplished pilot with many family cross country flights to several states. His love of airplanes was never ending with 20 years of vacations to OshKosh for the EAA event. His most memorable event was a ride in a B-17 Bomber. Another passion was horses. Starting out as a hobby soon turned into racing quarter horses culminating in a state champion gelding named "Same Like".
Having 2 sons and 2 grandsons who were racecar drivers, at the young age of 68, he decided to try his hand at it, adding a feature win to his accomplishments.
He was preceded in death by his wife Janice and brother Lyle Miller. Survived by sons Dale (Louise) and Mike, grandkids Jeff (special friend Nicole), Kevin (Kristin), Andrea (Michael) Blake, Great-Grand Kids Kylee, Alexandria, Ahna, Colby, Corina, Allison (Patrick) Dylan, Skylher, Colton and Bentley, Great-great-grandkids Arya, Luca, Scarlett and Ayla, Brothers Eldon, Lloyd and Duane.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7th, 2025 from 1pm until 2pm. David will then be laid to rest at Bowne Mennonite Cemetery next to Janice.
