We are very sorry to hear about Dennis passing.  He was a great person and co-worker.  Our thoughts and prayers for you MJ and all of the family as you move through this process.

Dennis was my closest and best friend thru junior high and high school. Oh the adventures!  Dennis was kind, fun and good. So many memories!! I’ll see Dennis again!

To the Family and friends of Denny, and especially the love of his life - Mary Jean (to whom I have not had the pleasure of meeting) I send my most heart felt condolences.
I met Denny in the late seventies through my brother Bruce and had the joy of spending many weekends with him, Bruce and Paul Flessner (the other members of the Round Table) canoeing, horseshoes, basketball, music etc. until I left Michigan in 1981.  I never saw him again. He spent most of that time defending our freedom in the service of our country.  When Mary Jean and he moved to Charlotte I enjoyed, for a time, conversing with he and the other mirthful members of the "Round Table" on FB.  Thank you to his Parents, siblings, and other significant contributors for the development of Denny into the great human being that became a part of so many joyous moments.

The chapters in life touched by the good nature and wit of Denny will be forever etched in my heart. There were so many fun times of camping, canoeing, ball games, and adventures through the seventies and eighties.  Denny was such a big part of our little group we referred to as the Knights of the Round Table. I know our paths will cross again. Until then I'll be missing you ole buddy.

Memories of Dennis James Geiger

I heard of the passing of Dennis James Geiger, today, via e-mail message from a coworker.  Dennis was the spouse of Mary Jean Geiger, a valued long-time member of the Defense Logistics Agency, Office of the Inspector General, who is a friend and former coworker.  I met Dennis through Mary Jean when he first came on board as an Information Technology Specialist with the Defense Logistics Agency, Battle Creek, MI.  Dennis impressed me as a person dedicated to serving his county and its people though military service in the U.S. Navy, and subsequently via Federal service.  Dennis was a very intelligent man and his knowledge of Information Technology was second to none.  Dennis was a likeable person, who had a good sense of humor.  He was also a practical man with good common sense, but also enjoyed life.  Perhaps due to his religious beliefs, Dennis treated people like he wished to be treated himself.  Dennis also very much enjoyed being in Mary Jean’s company, and once confessed to me quietly that he loved her during a conversation at some social function, after I had said good things on Mary Jean’s behalf.  He liked the travels he and Mary Jean shared together, primarily because he was with her.  Dennis was a good and decent man whose life on this earth was far too short.  In his wake Dennis leaves behind many family members and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

So sorry to hear of Dennis' passing!  Mary Jean was part of our DLA OIG family and Dennis was known and loved by all of us!  He will be missed!  Mary Jean and family will be in my thoughts and prayers!  Rest in Peace Dennis!

In life you meet people along the way that make an impact in your life.  Dennis was one of those people. He was an amazing mentor and friend. I am saddened to hear of his passing. I would like to send my condolences to his family. 

Ken and family, as you know, Denny was one of my oldest  friends.  He will be sorely missed.   As one of a core group of insane knuckleheads from school days,  I will cherish his memory until we meet again.

M.J., words can't express how shocked and sorry I am for the loss of your soulmate!  Y'all's love story is definitely one of a kind, I remember you coming home telling me you met the greatest guy ever and within a couple months you and Dennis were married in Guam! Ken & family, My condolences in Denny’s passing. He was a kind and fun classmate at Lakewood and will be missed by many. Wishing you all comfort and peace in knowing that he lived a good life albeit too short, and he is now pain free. His accomplishments in life were many.


Dennis was a great classmate, athlete and friend to everyone!  He will be missed by everyone.  May God give the family peace and comfort during this difficult time.
