Don Nelson Bippley

Don Bippley, age 75, of Lake Odessa went to be with his Lord on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Spectrum Health Center’s Butterworth Campus. He was born on April 14, 1941 in Hastings, MI to Donal and Edith (Williams) Bippley. Don was a 1959 graduate of Lake Odessa High School. He was a long time area farmer and resident. Don was an avid outdoorsman, loved cutting his own wood and excellent welder. Faith and family had become very important to Don especially spending time with his granddaughters. The family and friends will remember his generous spirit, helping people whenever he could. In 1973 he married Mary Tyrrell who preceded him in death in 2003. On September 17, 2005 he married Brenda Hill and she survives. Don will be dearly missed by; wife Brenda; children Susan (Michael Leahy) Bippley, Michael (Carrie) Bippley; grandchildren Mary Catherine and Sarah Leahy, Elizabeth and Hannah Bippley; step children Angela Richard and Douglas Hill and many friends. Those preceding Don in death are his parents and sister Terry Gleason. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Koops Funeral Chapel from 2pm until 4pm and 6pm until 8pm with a Scripture Service at 7:30pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 29, 2016 at 11am at the Koops Funeral Chapel with interment immediately following at Lakeside Cemetery in Lake Odessa, MI.
