

Douglas Alan Schrauben, born on April 7, 1970, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, passed away on November 18, 2025, at the age of 55. Residing in Lake Odessa, Michigan, Doug will be remembered as a devoted family man and a cherished member of his community.
Doug graduated from Grand Ledge High School in 1988. He dedicated 35 years of his career to East Jordan Iron Works and was affectionately known as the "Pizza Guy" while delivering Marco's Pizza in Lake Odessa. The community will always remember his fantastic Halloween displays and his antics on that day.
He was an amazing father, guiding others with his ability to show the roads and where they lead to anyone who gave him a chance. Doug will be forever cherished by his wife, Elissa, and sons, Ethan (Maddy) and Jadan. He is also survived by his mother, Sandra; brother, Richard; honorary sons, Tyler, Jared, Jordan, Chris, Hunter, and Johnny; honorary daughters, Leann, Keera, and Emily; aunt, Judy and uncle, Jan; mother-in-law, Rose (Laura); father-in-law, David (Carole); heart grandbabies, Kye, Astrid, and Naomi; a first granddaughter on the way, Charlie Rose; and a very special great-nephew, Liam. Preceding Doug in death are his father, Harold; son, Marcus; brother, Markus; stepfather, Jerry; and mother-in-law, Pat.
Doug had a passion for woodworking, creating bonsai trees out of copper, gardening, making dream catchers, and fishing with his brother Richard on Lake Huron. He was also a Dungeon Master for D&D games with friends and family and enjoyed playing cribbage in the morning with his wife, Elissa.
Doug will be remembered for his willingness to help others, always extending a helpful hand, whether it was welcomed or not. His legacy of kindness and generosity will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
