Gary Rottman

Gary Rottman, age 64, went to be with his Heavenly Father on July 10, 2026. Born October 14, 1961, in Pontiac, Michigan, Gary was the son of Dr. G Jay and Barbara (Beimers) Rottman. He was a graduate of Greenville High School.

Throughout his life, Gary was known for the steady dedication he brought to his work and the quiet care he showed to those around him. He worked for Grand Rapids Carvers for many years and later continued his working life with several different security companies in Grand Rapids, earning respect through reliability, conscientiousness, and a considerate presence.

In 1990, Gary married Barbara Foster, and together they raised four children: Jason (Sarah) Rottman, Heather (Trevor) OBryant, Joshua Rottman, and Holly (Carlton) Wilcox. He was a proud grandfather to Chloe, Evelyn, Autumn, Whitley, and Henry. He is also survived by his siblings Ann (Shane) Hansen, Carol (Ken) Zinn, Tom Rottman, Amy (Mark) Hansen, Carrie Jo ( William) Jerow, and his step mom Joyce Rottman. Gary was preceded in death by his parents.

After retirement, Gary found contentment in simple, meaningful routines—going for long walks, spending time with his grandchildren, and enjoying visits with friends. In these moments, his thoughtful nature and kind-hearted spirit were felt most clearly, expressed in the time he gave and the attention he offered to the people he loved.

According to his wishes, cremation has taken place, and the family will have a private celebration at a later date.
