Gerald Guy Heaven Jr., age 82, of Clarksville went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Laurels of Kent in Lowell. Gerry was born May 10, 1939 to Gerald Guy and Ruby (Willette) Heaven . He was a kind and gentle soul who would help anyone that needed it. Gerry was a loyal and tireless worker and was found shoveling sidewalks well into his 70's in Clarksville. Gerry loved to be part of parades as Beach Ball the Clown. He also enjoyed chatting on the CB where his handle was Dynamite. When meeting Gerry for the first time you'd hear his favorite line "This is the closest you'll get to Heaven before you die" which never failed to get a chuckle. Gerry always fancied shirts that had pockets, those that knew him well will never forget that.
Gerry is survived by his brother Dan (Linda) Heaven, nephews Matthew (Angie), Nathan (Tammy), step nephews Lee (Terri) Peak and Christopher Peak, many great nieces and nephews, special friends Lynne (John) McClure and Paula Zukowski along with their families, friends Reuben Sr, Brent and Reuben Jr. Fish.
He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew Daniel Heaven.
A celebration of Gerry's life will begin on 1pm at Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 with a time of visiting beginning an hour prior. Gerry will be laid to rest next to his parents in Clarksville Cemetery. Instead of giving a memorial donation in Gerry's name, do what he would do and pay it forward by doing something nice or being kind to someone else.
The family kindly asks you wear masks.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.koopsfc.com for the Heaven family.
