Herbert Lee (Herb) Miller, Sr., age 66, of Woodland, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. He was born September 10, 1945 in Freeport, the son of Frank and Lela Miller. Herb married Betty Kruger on June 5, 1966. He was employed as an over the road truck driver for more than 30 years, retiring from Bob Green Trucking in Woodbury on November 30, 2011. He was preceded in death by his son, Herbert Lee (Herbie) Miller, Jr.; parents; 5 sisters and 3 brothers. Surviving is his wife, Betty; sisters, Esther Miller and Elsie Herminette; best friend, Tom Burghdoff; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation with the family will be held from 6-8pm on Sunday at Koops Funeral Chapel – Lake Odessa. Funeral services for Herb will be conducted at 11 am on Monday at Koops Funeral Chapel – Lake Odessa. Private interment at Woodland Memorial Park. Memorial contributions in Herb's name may be directed for the use of his family towards his medical expenses.
