James Wallace Rowe

James "Jim" Wallace Rowe, age 80 , of Clarksville formerly of Lansing passed away at his home Friday, October 24, 2014. He was born November 8, 1933 in Ironwood, MI to James W. and Doris (Slade) Rowe. Jim was a 1951 graduate of Luther L. Wright High School, then attended MSU obtaining a Bachelor's degree in secondary education. He retired from Cathey Company in Lansing as Vice President and General Manager. Jim was a Christian man who loved his wife and family . He enjoyed being outdoors and working on his land. Jim leaves behind: wife of 42 years Roberta "Bobbie", children Bonnie (Ronald) Carruthers, Brian (Kimberly) Rowe, grandchildren Jeffrey Scott Rutter, Ryan Jon (Christie) Harris, Timothy Charles Stewart II, James Brian Rowe, Tyler John Rowe, Cody Alan Rowe, Blake Allen (Kim) Carruthers, Kip Ashley (Tina) Carruthers, great grandchildren Taylor Chorba, Tiffany Carruthers, Alexis Rutter, Lucas Rutter, Kinsey Carruthers, Madeline Harris, and sister Elaine (Smitty) Smetana of Colorado along with several nephews with their families, and many close friends. Preceding Jim in death are: parents, daughter Debra Rowe Fowler and son James Wetzel Rowe. A celebration of Jim's life is being planned for Saturday, November 1st, 2014 at 11 am at the Clarksville Bible Church, 191 Main St. Clarksville, MI 48815. Family will be receiving friends from 10 am till 11 am. In lieu of flowers donations in Jim's name may be given to the Clarksville Bible Church.
