I remember when she worked at old timers bar in Sunfield and I would go in and stock the coolers and she would make me one of there famous wet burritos and she made it huge cause she new I could eat it all!!

I have so many great memories with Jean. She introduced me to couponing and she would come down or I would meet her half way a couple times a month to shop and we looked like crazy ladies with carts overflowing with items and going through the checkout and laughing because so many times the store would owe us money and didn't know what to do, lol (My husband jokes now, "He has Jean to blame for the way I overstock my cabinets and pantry! lol} Plus, she and I would come up with so many crafts together and sell them. I really loved the special times we shared together through out the years. I truly loved and respected her as a mother-in-law, grandmother to my children and a true loving friend!  She was a very special one of a kind sweet hearted lady! Will so miss you, Jean! Love, prayers and hugs to the family!

I have many memories with mom. My favorite is our love for pudding stones. Every time I would go to Drummond Island mom would ask me to bring her back pudding stones and we’d spend lots of time walking around admiring all of the pudding stones in the yard and she’d always try to take them home. We had time on Drummond Island together and we’d go searching for the pudding stones together and mom would always find the hardest ones to get and insist on getting that one; she never made it easy on Missy and I who had to go dig them out. 

I have many fond memories of such an amazing and special lady.  I will never forget going up for visits with the family sitting in the living room talking and laughing then eating a delicious home cooked meal. Jean was definitely the queen of couponing. I had never heard of such a thing before. And seeing her grocery store room for the first time...was so cool. Her love for crafting was something else too. I always looked forward to my birthday present from her because it would be a variety of specially crafted cards that she had made.  She will always have a special place in my heart as the rest of the family does too. She will be missed dearly. May God's Divine Peace bring comfort. Also, knowing that you will get to see her again someday in Heaven and for eternity ❤️ Godspeed

I have so many wonderful memories growing up with my Aunt Jean.  
I remember I was like 6/7 and my mom was in the hospital and it was my birthday.  Aunt Jean took just me to the store mind you she has 5 kids so it was really special and she let me pick the cake mix cherry chip!  We went back to her house and made it. 
As a family at a young age we always got together my aunts all making candy including Dolly Parton ones, who else remember that.   Playing bingo during the holidays was always a highlight for everyone 
No matter what in my life Aunt Jean was always there.   I love you and so happy I was able to spend time with you the last few years when ever I was in Michigan 

I just wanted to share another great memory about mom...  my grandpa her dad Died  when I  was only 1 year old.  I don't physically remember him but I feel like I do she talked about him so much.  I keep thinking how Willow is only 1 also and I am gonna do the same for her she will know what a great person her mammaw was and how much she loved to play with her in the time she had..  so glad you got to meet your "minime" mom

A memory I will never forget is how grandma would walk to go find pudding stones up at our cabin. Probably the most I’ve ever seen her walk. 

One of my favorite memories with grandma is, when I slept in grandma and papas room she would convince papa to let me stay up until 11pm so we could watch archie together and we would always make snacks for us all while we watched it.

I have so many memories with grandma but my favorite memories are from my childhood. We would spend hours couponing and then head to the store, she’d make me get my own cart and go through the check out line right next to her, just so she could get a couple extra free shampoos. Then we’d go back home and she’d just light up telling people about all the free stuff we got and how much she ended up spending on two carts full of stuff. I always thought it was awesome that she had her own store. Then we’d spend the rest of the day making crafts, baking, and eating tons of goodies together. Grandma inspired my love for a good deal and for crafting. My last memory with her was sharing all my recent crafts, she was so excited to get together and make some for her house. I promise grandma I will make the jenga snowmen and I’ll make sure grandpa has one out for the holidays. I love you forever and will miss you always. 

Oh what I wouldn't give for just a random week day trip to Mamaw and Papa's!! She would go above and beyond to make a random Tuesday special for the kiddos and I! From having fresh berries washed and ready, her famous chicken noodles in the crock pot, sweet treats galore, all the crafts with the kids while I could just rest, and just being so loved and cherished from the moment we walked in the door!! We sure will miss Mamaw on our visit but we will carry on her memory while we visit with Papa! 

So many memories to choose from.  I think the ones I’m going to share are the most recent.  I took mom and Beth for a girls weekend to the cabin in the dead of winter.  We didn’t open the water lines so we went old school on flushing toilets and trying to eat meals that didn’t take dishes I think that’s when Mom caught the infamous island bug.  When covid hit I asked mom and dad to come up to the cabin to hide from the rest of the world.  I remember when they pulled in and I seen the car packed.  I kid you not they had everything but the kitchen sink packed in their car.
We stayed their almost 6 weeks straight.  We cooked, played cards (Dad for some reason seemed to always win), Dad helped Todd with some cabin chores.  Something I’ll never forget is Moms love for blueberry muffins.  Everytime I turned around her and Dakota were sneaking blueberry mini muffins.   Mom taught Dakota how amazing rice crispy treats are during that time as well.  Todd taught Mom how to hunt for pudding stones.  He found one and told her it was in a certain area and after she found that one she was a pro and every time she came to cabin with me she went home with pudding stones.  
The time I spent with mom at the cabin is priceless and I will cherish the rest of my life because she wasn’t only my mom up there but she was my best friend.  It was like old girlfriends getting away.  
I will miss my mama like no other and my heart will always be broke but when its to much to bear I’ll hang onto my time with her at the cabin.
Mom you will have your very own pudding stone at the cabin that every time I see it will bring me peace that your still with me.
Love you and I know you’ll be watching over us.

I have so many great memories of my mom!  She was the best.  My favorites are when we would make cards together and or do card parties.  Also Christmas candy making day.  I don't even want to think about doing those thing without her but then I want Willow to have those things so we will especially have a Christmas goodie day tradition if I  can help it... love you forever mom...

Remembering the good times, there are so many, our families have been friends for ever and in what we call the hood depending on the time of year Jean is famous for her Mac and cheese, cheese dips and potato salad, she brought to all of the outdoor events as far back as I can remember.  
She gave me her recipe for the potato salad, (the secret ingredient) hard as I try it’s not the same as hers, maybe in time.
I remember sitting at camp fires and visiting at beginning of deer season at Buck camp, the Feb fish fry, pumpkin carving back in the day, and the clean out the freezer at the end of Sept at J & C.  Many times just sitting in the yard.
Jean was a great card player and could play all day given the opportunity, cards were played nonstop at Buck Camp I think she loved it.
At Christmas time she always brought us homemade candy and sweets enough to share with our family, and she gave me homemade cards that I give to friends and family for whatever the occasion.
Jean was a great friend of mine and will be greatly missed in the hood and by all her friends and family. Miss you Jean maybe the next time I make the potato salad you can give me a little nudge from heaven.


We took my mom to California for a wedding . 
She has always wanted to see the Pacific Ocean .
Mom was so excited to seee the ocean we pulled in the lot and we took a stroll down to the beach and she took off her shoes and walked in the sand , she went over to the ocean and put her feet in the water and she started  to tear up and she had the biggest smile on her face . I cried to see her so happy . I wish we were there today mom . I will always remember that trip and that moment .  I love you  so much mom.
