

Regina T. Jean Sandbrook, age 79, of Woodland, passed away Monday, February 14, 2011 at Thornapple Manor in Hastings. She was born October 1, 1931, in Wyoming, Pennsylvania the daughter of Michael and Anna Thomas. She married Lyle Sandbrook, Sr. on June 15, 1953 in England Jean worked for Lakewood Schools for 25 very enjoyable years as a ParaPro, retiring in 1991. She was a member of St. Edwards Catholic Church in Lake Odessa where she was a member of the Alter Society, served as CCD teacher, and was an Extraordinary Minister. Her greatest joys were her family and friends. Jean was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Albert Thomas and sister, Anna Pyryt. Surviving is her loving husband of 57 years, Lyle Sandbrook, Sr.; son, Lyle Sandbrook, Jr. (Michelle Spence); daughter, Terri (Jim) Decker; granddaughter, Becki (Jeff) Deater; grandson, Jarrod (Emily) Stahl; 2 great grandsons, Brody and Colton and 2 great granddaughters, Cami and Bellamie; step granddaughter, Kalli Decker; brother, Michael Thomas; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be conducted from 6-8 pm, followed by a Rosary at 8pm, on Friday, February 25, 2011 at the Family Center of St. Edwards Catholic Church in Lake Odessa and 10 11 am on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at St. Edwards Catholic Church where a memorial service will be conducted at 11 am. Memorial donations in Jeans name may be directed to St. Edwards Catholic Church, Woodland Fire Department or the Jackson-Mutschler VFW Post 4461 in Lake Odessa.
