Jean L. Thomas

Jean L. (Fahrni) Thomas, age 91 of Clarksville went to be with her Lord Tuesday March 19, 2013 at The Lodge at Maple Creek of Grand Rapids. Jean was born to Edward and Goadie (Dillenbeck) Swiger on September 10, 1921. During her working years Jean had been employed at General Tire & Manufacturing doing janitorial and line work. Over the years Jean had enjoyed: writing for the Clarksville Record, playing the piano, knitting, being an excellent cook, and singing with her sister Madeline. Jean is survived by her two sons Owen (Sherill) Fahrni of Alto and Barry (Marilyn) Fahrni of Charlotte. Grandchildren: Brian (Rebecca) Fahrni Greenville SC, Rodney Fahrni Lansing, Michelle (David) Wears Eaton Rapids, Jeremy (Mandy) Fahrni New York NY, Shana (Brad) Heinrich of Grand Rapids and Jason (Elizabeth) Fahrni of Rockford. She was preceded in death by: her parents, husbands Wayne Fahrni and William Thomas, brothers Melvin Swiger and Roger Swiger and sister Madeline Pierce. Visiting hours for Jean will be held 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Koops Funeral Chapel, 935 4th Ave., Lake Odessa, MI 48849. Funeral services will be held on Friday 11 a.m. March 22, 2013 at the Clarksville Bible Church 191 S. Main St., Clarksville, MI 48815. Donations in Jean's memory may be made to the Red Cross.
