John W. Booher

He was born on July 27, 1921 to Wesley and Mabel (Bolinger) Booher in Battle Creek, MI.  He was 1939 graduate of Woodland High School.  John worked as a farmer and at the Lake Odessa Canning Factory for many years. On January10, 1947 he married Opal Desgranges and she preceded him in death in 2006. He was a member of Woodland Lions Club and an avid golfer, being a club champion at many area courses.  John enjoyed spending his winters in Florida and making maple syrup in the spring time.

John is survived by children; Betty (Ken) Harris, Mike (Jill) Booher, John (Janice) Booher, 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by wife, Opal Booher, parents Wesley and Mabel Booher and 2 sisters.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 21, 2017, 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Koops Funeral Chapel, Inc., Lake Odessa, MI.
