John P. Simon

John P. Simon, 44, of Lake Odessa, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2011 at his residence. He was born October 24, 1966 in Hastings, the son of Francis and Jeanette (Carey) Simon. John graduated from Lakewood High School in 1985 and was married to Teresa Rose on September 17, 1988. He was employed as a Project Manager by AMI in Portland. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycling, cutting wood, spending time at Silver Lake Sand Dunes and the Detroit Tigers. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Bob Rose and brother-in-law, Mike Ayres. Surviving is his wife, Teresa; sons, Zack, Jordan and Gabe; parents, Francis and Jeanette Simon; brother, Tom Simon; sister, Jeanne Ayres; mother-in-law, Sandy Rose; brother-in-law, Rob Rose; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation with the family will be held from 1 – 4pm and 6 – 9 pm on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at Koops Funeral Chapel – Lake Odessa. Funeral Services for John will be conducted at 11 am on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at Lakewood United Methodist Church, 10265 E. Brown Rd., Lake Odessa. Interment to follow at Woodland Memorial Park.
