Kathy Ann Ostrander

Kathy Ann Ostrander, 55, of Lake Odessa, passed away on March 7, 2016 at her home in Lake Odessa, MI surrounded by family. She was born on January 14, 1961 to Larry Bowers and Bertha (Randolph) Danks in Lansing, MI. She attended Lakewood schools and graduated from Charlotte High school. Kathy worked in housekeeping for Sparrow Hospital of Ionia for 14 years. On December 4, 1999 she married Kevin and he survives. She loved to grow flowers, collecting Indian art, tattoos, and all animals; especially her dogs and her cat Lucky. Kathy is survived by her loving spouse of 17 years Kevin; two sons, Dusten (April Calahan) Hynes of Lake Odessa, MI and Christopher Hynes of Lake Odessa; two sisters, Betty (Phil) Todd of Lake Odessa, MI and Mary Boyer of Charlotte, MI; brother, Richard (Carrie) Danks of Belding, MI; two step daughters, Tiphanie (Taylor) Spaulding of Greenville, MI and Kellesha Ostrander of Trufant, MI; sister in law, Cindy (Jeffery) Cherpes of Muir, MI; two brother in laws, Ledo (Christy) Ostrander Orleans, MI and Todd Ostrander, Ionia, MI along with 9 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by mother Bertha P Danks, step father Richard Danks and niece Stacey Pruden. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 12, 2016, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Koops Funeral Chapel, Inc., Lake Odessa, MI. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016, 4:00 pm at the Koops Funeral Chapel, Lake Odessa, MI. Memorials are suggested to the family to help with expenses.
