Larry graduated from Saranac High School in 1960 and soon thereafter served in the U.S. Army in Germany from 1960 to 1963. He went on to devote 28 years of steady leadership and dedicated work as a plant manager for General Motors.
Larry was also committed to public service, serving on the Campbell Township Board for many years with a sense of responsibility and care for his community.
Larry was first married to Patricia Bustance, who preceded him in death in 1995. In 1998, he married Shirley Zigmont. Larry is survived by his wife, Shirley; his children, Tammy (Rob) Geiger and Lawrence G. (Vickie) Patrick II; his grandchildren, Eric Geiger, Megan (Justin ) Benchich, Lawrence G. (Harlie) Patrick III, Alex (Morgan) Patrick, John (Savannah) Patrick, Michael Patrick, and Liam Patrick; and his great-grandchildren, Lawrence G Patrick IV and Sophia Patrick. He is also survived by his siblings, Joann, Donald, and Delores.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Doc and Jane Patrick; his first wife, Patricia; and his siblings, Shelva, Jewell, Jimmy, and Dorothy.
Visitation for Larry will be held at Koops Funeral Chapel, on Thursday, September 10, 2026 5pm to 8pm. Funeral services will be held at 11am Friday September 11, 2026 at Koops Funeral Chapel. Burial will take place in Clarksville Cemetery immediately following.
Donations In Lieu of Flowers in Larry's name can be given to the Ionia County Commission on Aging Transportation Department.
