Letha A Reese

Letha A. Reese, age 84, of Lake Odessa passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Spectrum's Blodgett Campus in Grand Rapids. She was born to Wayne and Mildred (Haynes) Shade on September 11, 1930 in Lake Odessa, MI. Letha was graduate of Lake Odessa High School. Letha was an avid birthday card send never missing a birthday, and held legendary 4th of July gatherings. She is survived by her children; Sue (Russell) Messer and Michael (Linda) Carter, grandchildren Michelle (Frank) Purchis, Shannon Carter, Shawn (Elizabeth) Carter and Joseph (Shannon) Orlowski and 6 great grandchildren, siblings Sherrie (Tom) Wacha, Gene (Trudy) Shade, Dean (Shirley) Shade, sisters in law Pearl and Bobbie Shade. Preceeding her in death are her parents, husband Harold Reese, siblings; Frances Johnston, Brandon Shade, Karolyn Stalter, Marvin Shade, Linda Stidham and step brother Robert Hill. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, May 31, 2015 from 2pm until 4pm and 6pm until 8pm at the Koops Funeral Chapel, 935 4th Ave, Lake Odessa, MI 48849. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 1st, 2015 at 11 am at the Koops Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions can be made to the Susan G Koman Race for the Cure in Letha's name.
