Nona Ruth Archer

Nona Ruth Archer, age 91, of Lake Odessa, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Woodlawn Meadows in Hastings. She was born December 12, 1920 in Pontiac the daughter of Arthur and Daisy (Crane) Hopkinson and was adopted by Frank and Jessie (Crane) Cooper at three months of age. Nona graduated from Portland High School in 1938 and was married to Glendon Archer on December 18, 1940. Mr. Archer preceded her in death on November 28, 1998. They lived in Lake Odessa most of their married life except about 4 years when they lived in Battle Creek, Lansing, Indiana and Ohio during World War II. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glendon; brother, Raymond. Surviving are her sisters-in-law, Evelyn Archer and Geneva Dryer; nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends, Larry and Barbara Dye and family. Funeral services for Nona will be conducted at 11 am on Tuesday, with visitation one hour prior to service time, at Koops Funeral Chapel – Lake Odessa. Interment at Lakeside Cemetery, Lake Odessa.
